At the start of each Off Season a list of the upcoming Off Season Free Agents will be posted in the OSFA section which will instruct GMs which Player Agents to contact to begin negotiations.
Offers will be made via private messages to Player Agents.
- Player Agents will keep all bidders up-to-date if changes need to be made to an offer to remain in contention for a player.
- Player Agents will, most importantly, keep all offers within realistic levels.
- Player Agents will post copies of all offers they receive in a hidden Player Agent section that only they and I can see, I will check through each example to monitor offers and keep them realistic.
- If a player signs with a team, a 'Finalized Signing' thread will be posted in the public OSFA section - so that Player Agents can stay up-to-date on which teams can offer which situations exactly.
- Remember that a single signing can often make a huge difference to a situation, so only if there's a championship contender against a cellar-dweller will a team be counted out for reasons related to their success, or lack of it.
- Bonuses exist to help re-signing teams keep their players.
- Re-signing teams may bid up to an amount of Reward Points equal to their player's in-game rating, even if it means they overdraw on their bank balance of Reward Points.
- However, if negotiations push the Reward Point battle above the player's in-game rating then the re-signing team loses their bonus and may not overdraw on their Reward Point Bank balance.
- Further to this, if negotiations do not push the RP battle beyond the player's in-game rating, but do exceed the re-signing team's RP Bank balance, the re-signing team must pay, in Reward Points, the amount of the player's in-game rating regardless.
- Re-signing teams who rely upon their bonus to re-sign a player will not receive the deduction in their Reward Point Bank balance until the end of OSFA. Whatever bank balance they enter into OSFA may be spent towards other free agent signings before a deficit on their bank balance is enforced.
