Hmm. So Andre Iguodala is turned into Lamarcus Aldridge, who's turned into Anthony Randolph & Biedrins.
I'm not going to reject this trade. But I think Philly needs to realise the value of quality over quantity.

I don't really understand this when you just traded for Aldridge, maybe you think Anthony Randolph is going to be a stud or something. I wouldn't do this trade but I will accept.

I don't really understand this when you just traded for Aldridge, maybe you think Anthony Randolph is going to be a stud or something. I wouldn't do this trade but I will accept. That's pretty much what I'm hoping for, he does 2 things that Aldridge is incapable of: rebounding and blocking (which both lead to good defense, well, unless you're Boozer or Lee), he does that without sucking at offense either. Aldridge is soft as they come and only thing, which he is very good at is midrange shooting, other than that, not so much. Avoiding injuries, he's going to get more playing time and I expect him to get 15/8,5 already this year. Biedrins is a decent big men, but had a horrible year mainly due injuries and I hope he can rebound from it this year. If you view it from this years perspective, the deals I made may sound bad, but I'm trying to be realistic and I can see that I won't be climbing up to the I division this year. But I do hope making it next year. As for Iggy again, I know quality doesn't equal quantity and this is especially in sim leagues, but I got Biedrins, Randolph, Batum and Webster just for Iggy? That would be major ripoff in real life. He's not THAT good, he's not even an all-star and probably won't be one, 17 points, 6,5 rebounds, 5 assists with 2 steals isn't worthy the 89 rating he's got here (that was on a 26 win team with him being the man and playing 40 minutes). I do have to admit he had an off season this year as EJ failed at coaching. Stats aren't everything, but if you know to which stats to look at, they tell you a lot of truth. I'll put up some simple stats here: Player | PER | Mins | Pts | Rebs | Ass | Stls | Blk | FG% | 3PT% | TS% | P/36 | R/36 | A/36 | S/36 | B/36 | ORtg | DRtg | Andre Iguodala | 17.8 | 38.9 | 17.1 | 6.5 | 5.8 | 1.7 | 0.7 | 44.3% | 31% | 53.5% | 15.8 | 6.0 | 5.3 | 1.6 | 0.6 | 108 | 109 | LaMarcus Aldridge | 18.2 | 37.5 | 17.9 | 8.0 | 2.1 | 0.9 | 0.6 | 49,5% | 31.3% | 53,5% | 17.2 | 7.7 | 2.0 | 0.8 | 0.6 | 113 | 107 | Anthony Randolph | 18.7 | 22.7 | 11.6 | 6.5 | 1.3 | 0.8 | 1.5 | 44.3% | 20% | 52,1% | 18.5 | 10.3 | 2.0 | 1.3 | 2.5 | 106 | 107 | Nicolas Batum | 17.3 | 24.8 | 10.1 | 3.8 | 1.2 | 0.6 | 0.7 | 51,9% | 40,9% | 64,6% | 14.7 | 5.5 | 1.7 | 0.9 | 1.0 | 127 | 107 | Andris Biedrins 08-09 | 19.1 | 30.0 | 11.9 | 11.2 | 2.0 | 1.0 | 1.5 | 57,8% | 0.0% | 56.1% | 14.2 | 13.4 | 2.3 | 1.2 | 1.9 | 116 | 107 |
Explanations: PER - efficiency, 15 is leagues average TS% - True shooting %, considering 2PT shots are 2 points, 3PT - 3 FT - 1 P/36 - Points per 36 minutes R/36 - Rebounds per 36 minutes etc. ORtg - Offensive rating, estimated points scored per 100 possessions (more is better) DRtg - Defensive rating, points allowed by you per 100 possessions (less is better) Notes: Iguodala's and Batum's DRtg are both deflated a lot as their job is to guard the best perimeter player's in the league (e.g. James, Bryant, Wade etc.) I took Biedrins 08-09 season, cause well I don't know whether was it just getting worse or hampering injuries or Nelson's influence on him, but his 09-10 season pretty much sucked, 08-09 should be a better indication (hopefully). PS. Sorry for being such a pain in the ass
