Let's record what we think will happen this coming NBA Off Season and look back with posterity afterwards!
Lebron James - Chicago Bulls
Chris Bosh - Chicago Bulls
Dwyane Wade - Miami Heat
Carlos Boozer - New York
Joe Johnson - New York
Amare Stoudemire - Miami Heat
I don't believe Lebron will go to New York. Chicago has Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah to build around already. They will sign Lebron and use Luol Deng in a sign & trade with Toronto to acquire Chris Bosh.
Wade will stay in Miami. Pat Riley will not want Boozer, who only performs highly in contract years, and will go for Stoudemire if he doesn't re-sign with Phoenix.
Either Boozer or Joe Johnson or both will sign with New York, and Carmelo Anthony will follow next year.

I think Lebron might go to NY but if he really wants to win like he says, then it's Chicago for sure. But on the downside he would be compared to MJ at every single opportunity. If I were Bosh I would fight for a trade to Houston or Bulls. The rest I more or less agree although I hope Amare will stay with Nash and
I really pray that somehow Joe Johnson signs with the Kings!!

What happened to the Bosh to OKC rumors? There have been rumors of Amare to Miami around trading deadline, so possibility. Boozer to NJ? LeBron to Chitown Johnson to NY Wade, if Amare comes to town will stay

Where's Shaq going? Would he be a good fit in OKC or no? They have the pieces, just need a big man for Gasol, Odom, and Bynum.

UFA Lebron James: SAC Chris Bosh: Chicago Dwyane Wade: Miami Carlos Boozer: Miami Joe Johnson: New York Amare Stoudmaire: New York David Lee: New Jersey Ray Allen: Boston Rudy Gay: New Jersey Dirk: stay's in Dallas or forces S&T to either HOU or PHX.
Alright I am going out on a HUGE LIMB on my picks (besides it's too BORING TO MAKE STALE PICKS).
You know in a perfect world BOS should get rid of Sheed, not bring back Ray Ray, and hope PP opts out of contract, and then BOS has enough cap space to sign LBJ.
And after they do, LAL will beat them in the FINALS next year with Prince James, after they beat them in the FINALS this year.
That's my BIGGEST WISHFUL THINKING, beat BOS and beat the PRINCE in the Finals at the same time, nothing could be sweeter, maybe except beating any team Shaq is on.

LeBron James: Chicago Bulls Chris Bosh: Chicago Bulls Dwayne Wade: Chicago Bulls
It would be amazing to see this happen. Rose, Wade, James, Bosh, Noah starting 5 would be killer.

Lebron James: Nets. Their owner is willing to spend and spend big to get a player like James in there. He'll do whatever it takes to get him and I like that in an owner.
Chris Bosh: Warriors. I see this as a possibility, but maybe its because I am a Warriors fan. A S&T involving Anthony Randolph would work here. If we could set up a Monta trade too, it's more likely.
Dwyane Wade: Miami. He gives them another two years to bring in help. They do it this year.
Carlos Boozer: Nets. Even though he only plays in contract years, his signing could allow the Nets to move back in the draft and pick up a proven player rather than take anyone not John Wall.
Joe Johnson: Miami. Mutual interest here. Bound to happen.
Amare Stoudmaire: New York. Amare wants to be the star and be paid like one. He gets that in NY.
David Lee: Miami. The Heat strike out on Bosh and Amare, but get an unselfish player in Lee.
Ray Allen: Thunder. Ray Allen was the heart of Seattle. Why not go to the team they used to be and help develop the youngsters?
Rudy Gay: Phoenix. You know those hunches you get? Well, I got one.
Dirk: if Dirk opts out, he ends up in Chicago. But he won't.
Yes, I have Chicago totally striking out in free agency. There is just too much talk of every single good free agent going to their team that I feel they'll end up with no one, have a terrible season, get a top three pick, and draft the player they have been needing (CJ Leslie, Harrison Barnes, etc.)

According to Ford's source, Bosh told Toronto management he'd like to play for the Raptors, the Chicago Bulls, the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Lakers or the New York Knicks.
Too bad it wouldn't happen but I wouldn't mind seeing Bosh in a Lakers uniform. Him and Pau up front would be nice. I love Bynum but dude needs to quit complaining about injuries.

My predictions for the 2010 summer: Joe Johnson - Chicago or New York, it depends on what will Wade do but i don't think JJ'll stay in Atlanta anymore. Ray Allen - If the Celtics make a championship run I think that Allen will go to Oklahoma to help Durant and co. to develop their game. But if Celtics won't won the title i think that Ray will stay for another year at least. Lebron James - New York. He won't go to the Bulls because he will be compared with MJ all the time and I don't think he could stand this. Beside New York is a perfect city for Lebron. They want the best superstar and Lebron is exactly the thing they want. He might also decide to stay in Cleveland but it's more probable the other version. Dirk Nowitzki - Dallas. Nowitzki is the most loved player in Dallas and their representative player so I think he will stay there. Kenyon Martin - Denver or New Jersey. Kenyon might stay in Denver but due to his injuries from the last season it's more probable for him to return to his former team. Rudy Gay - Chicago. If the Bulls fail to get Lebron(and I think they will) then they're probably going to sign Gay. He might also go to any other team from the NBA because I don't think he has an high franchise identification but the most plausible variant is Chicago. Dwayne Wade - Miami. IMO Wade will stay in Miami for another 2 or 3 years. But he might also left if Micky Arison won't bring another superstar player to help him. David Lee - Miami/New JerseyChicago/New York. I think Lee will leave New York if Lebron is coming and the future destination may be Miami, New Jersey or Chicago. Amare'e Stoudemire - Phoenix. I think he will stay due to last year game of the Suns. He may go to Miami or New York but it's more probably he will stay in Phoenix. Chris Bosh - Los Angeles Lakers. Bosh will leave the Raptors because he won't won any championship ring in there. I think that the most probable destination is Los Angeles. Raptors and Lakers might swap Gasol and Bosh something like last year's Ariza and Artest. Carlos Boozer - Utah, Miami or New Jersey. He may leave Utah it depends on how active will be Heat and Nets in the summer.

Dude with all due respect, Gasol isn't going to get swapped. Learning the triangle offense takes time and patience and he has done very well in it obviously. Bosh ain't moving to the Lakers. Strike LA out

Oh and you were so quick to missunderstand me.
"Strike LA out" was more of a note to myself and to everyone else. Your post is your post strictly, nobody's undermining that. But then again, I'm not exactly bothered about what your expectations are anyway, quit being so overly defensive for the strangest reasons. (PS People might think you're insecure) HAHA.
Back to the discussion everyone! =)

I have read multiple reports saying that the Lakers and Raptors agreed to a Bosh/Bynum swap to be done immediaetly when trades are allowed. Anyone else hear this?

Ive read a couple about 2months ago too. Well the Lakers said they "believe" that Bynum has still a long way to go and has yet to reach his potential. Well when did you read your reports and do you have a link for it?

Honestly I don't think this Bosh-Bynum swap will happen, and nothing against Bosh I don't want it to happen.
The rumors of Bosh-Bynum trade has been going on since LAST SEASON, and the whole Bosh to LAL thing started when Phil got in trouble for tampering charges few years back with wanting Bosh and that's when the rumor mills started exploding with Bosh trade to LAL.
Now back to main story, I am against this trade, it's not because of Bosh is a bad player, but this team would go back to being FINESSE again, Bynum has his FLAWS, but the one advantage he gives us is a big that can be physical and can defend one on one (still has to cut down on fouls though), there's a reason why Shaq called Bosh the RuPaul of big men.
Gasol has improved on defense since his 08 beat thrashing against BOS, if LAL does that everything they have worked and improved on will be gone, that TOUGHNESS factor will be gone.
Unless ORL GM goes on drugs and makes D-12 available then I might accept Bosh
Gasol for Howard, Bynum for Bosh.
The Lakers need one finesse big and one power big, and that's what they have right now.
One more thing
IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT
Nothing is broke in LAL right now, maybe the PG position and that's about it.

I doubt the Lakers move Bynum, especially if we win the chip this season. They just signed him that long term deal, they'll wait and see how he pans out. He's the physical force the Lakers need, because a finesse team will not work. Look at what happened in 08 when the Lakers lost to the Celtics.

I happen to agree with both the last couple of posts. However with all that said, Bynum needs to step up his game more even though he has improved as of late and has been part of the LAL X-factor. Odom & Bynum playing well with Gasol & Kobe is crucial for them to have a good chance against the celtics. Well, of course Artest has to knock down more shots, DRIVE TO THE RIM A LOT MORE and possibly look for contact and draw fouls. Thats SO important for the lakers right now. Get all of these right and the 09/10 (perhaps even 10/11) champs is inevitably theirs for the taking. GET THAT THREE-PEAT will ya?
