i dont know about this, joe johnson is better than monta ellis and a 1st rounder is more valuable than Devean George, maybe if ATL was getting the pick but this seems to one sided

I accept. I'm not "sold" on the awesomeness of Joe Johnson. Just like Monta he's a player who can lead a team, but not a championship team. JJ is also a lot older than Monta, which is balanced out by the pick.
I also think it would seem quite realistic to have JJ on the Warriors and Monta in Atlanta.

This trade makes sense in one aspect since Curry and Ellis dont play well together. Joe Johnson would be a much better fit for the warriors with his length and hence his ability to move and play the 3.
HOWEVER, Golden State is a div 2 team and considering JJ's current status (age, experience whatever) he fits a team that's playoff bound and transitioning to a championship team.
Also, it's a pretty dumb move to get JJ's expiring contract into the warriors since JJ wouldn't re-sign with the warriors anyway unless they MAGICALLY end up as a top 3 team in div 2 and get promoted; which is as unlikely as the world ending in 2012. So as much as this deal would work IRL, It won't happen here with the different concept in this league So I personally would reject this trade, but if the warriors insist on going ahead with it at their own peril then it's their downfall and none of my business.
I'll accept just to test the Oscar Robertson's IQ =)

Actually, Golden State must sign a free agent before this trade can go through - his team only has 11 players after this trade.
